Dracula Bites
October 27th – November 12th

An original stage production of Dracula spirals out of control when a mad playwright tries too hard to be faithful to the book.

New York writer Gregory Pastel is about to realize his lifelong dream. He has adapted the book DRACULA to a stage play. A stickler for the book he believes he has written the definitive stage version of Bram Stroker’s classic novel. But after years of struggling, he has been unable to interest anyone in his play. A turn of fortune brings Gregory and his wife Mora to The Valley Dale Playhouse where artistic director Nattie Sills has been having her own struggles since the death of her husband Charles, founder of the theatre. Nattie, impressed by Pastel’s flamboyance and convinced that his play is just what the theatre needs to boost ticket sales agrees to produce it. What follows is a “horror story” of it’s own.
